Jolly Logic Parachute release

Postby fud pucker » Sun Jul 10, 2016 8:33 pm

I had the opportunity to use one of the new Jolly Logic Parachute Releases at today's launch and was quite please with it's performance and ease of use. It essentially allows dual deployment in a motor ejection rocket. The nose cone is ejected at apogee with a drogueless decent then the parachute which is secured around the harness by the device, being released at the desired altitude of up to 1000 feet.

It allows higher altitude launches than otherwise might be considered with single deployment but without the complications of black powder, e-matches etc. Definitely worth having in your launch box.

Great work! We have sold out of our first batch, but have more on order. They should be here shortly along with a bunch of new altimeters in time for the AYRC finals
