Australian Youth Rocketry Challenge 2013

Postby kopius » Sun Aug 05, 2012 3:25 pm

With the 2012 challenge finished and the drive to see an even bigger and better challenge in 2013, the AYRC committee has already started working on promotions for next year's challenge.

Having logistically managed a team all the way from India, we are now reaching out to remote Australian schools and youth groups for even greater exposure of this fantastic experience.

The first revision of the 2013 flyer has been created and the date set (Saturday 27 July 2013). Looking forward to seeing what teams come up with for the next challenge!

Keep up to date with everything that is happening with AYRC: http://www.rocketcontest.org.au

Hey guys, just wondering whats happening this year for the AYRC, because while I know the date I don't know much else. :(
I would like to get a team in for my school this year, but I need some definitive info to give the teachers. If anybody knows anything about what's happening could you please let me know.

Thanks,
Campbell.

thanks for the website, didn't look at that   as far as the date goes, it says on the poster above that its on the 27 of july. Not sure if this is confirmed yet or just a proposed date but that's what it says.

A few other bits of info to ferret out, the location of this years' contest and what are the size restrictions for the engines (only black powder, A-D, no reloadables...) :?:

Thanks for the quick response PJR,
Campbell.

The 2013 AYRC Fly-Off is locked in for Saturday 27 July at the QRS LA2A launch site. The booklets and other info are almost finished and will be released in the coming days.

This year, we are planning on even more participants from across the country and again have interested from India.

I hope your school can enter Campbell and I will be sure to make as much information available as possible.

We are pleased to release the official 2013 rules, application and handbooks for the Australian Youth Rocketry Challenge 2013. There are seperate rules and handbooks for the two challenges (primary and secondary) and a single application form for both.

Over the last four years, it has been great to see the always improving skills of students that have taken on the challenge more than once. We look forward to seeing what amazing creations are unvailed this year.

With more sponsors than ever on board and an increased awareness of rocketry, AYRC 2013 is set to the biggest and most exciting challenge yet.

Please visit http://www.rocketcontest.org.au to download the 2013 AYRC rules, application and handbooks.

Ari,

Yes it certainly was a great day, and I really enjoyed being part of it. It is amazing to think the 2011 event was the starting point for Matt and I being involved in this great hobby. Already looking forward to next year. :D

Hey Mark, congrat's are in order anyway....

Small correction mate, it was 2010 when it was run the first time...I know it so well as I still have the original A3 poster...

Something I was supposed to have said earlier is that massive thank's goes to Blake as he is the main man behind organizing it among all the other stuff he does...
