Nike Smoke Half-Scale L3 Project

Nike Smoke Half-Scale L3 Project

I won't say much at this stage...
NikeSmoke.png

Now I'm looking for some TAPs to assist along the way and possibly sign the documentation (once I create it :) )

Unless someone convinces me otherwise I think I'll try a CTI 14005N1100...

Oh HELL yeah!

I'm subscribed 8)

Love the long burn motors, as you well know OTT, should be fine as long as you aren't too heavy with the build. Having said that, we do have access to a 5 meter 1515 launch tower!

PS. I've seen the airframe and nosecone in the flesh y'all, one hell of a kit!

Excellent OTT, I presume you are looking to launch this next year so I can watch.

If you think I can be of any assistance after I return in November, just ask.

Looking at launching at Thunda for my L3.

After certifying I might just throw a 54mm bird on top for a two-stage flight.

Thanks for the offer Lamp. I'll keep you in mind as I amble towards the assembly...

GO!

After preparation of my Initial Submission document and the Data Capture form, my TAPs have given my project the green light!

Yippee!

Call me slightly crazy, but I am currently considering uprating the motor to the O3400  . The build will be capable (assuming my calcs and build technique are correct!) of any peak thrust available in the CTI 98mm casings, up to and including the 6GXL, 1200kg, with safety margin. I will ponder this option as I progress with the build.

Lovely, which CTI motor are you referring to with the 1200kg of thrust? N10,000?

The N10,000 is actually a 6G motor not 6GXL, but it'll give approx that amount of thrust, yes...

Yes, I realise that the maximum peak thrust of all the 98mm motors is the Vmax in the 6G configuration. 2600 pound peak thrust. That is what I am using as a maximum for the build.
