Launch site near Maffra, Victoria

Does anyone know which group would have, or had, a launch site near Maffra?

I seem to remember a group launching out of Sale somewhere a few years back. Sorry, but I don't remember any more details. I never flew there. I guess the timeframe would have been around 2009-2011 somewhere maybe?

The group was called SARA, however they only operated for a couple of years. They affiliated with the ARA and then basically disappeared due to lack of support. This is going back to before the start of the decade.

Hey Voyager

From the RAAF base at East Sale a restricted area NOTAM is in place from the surface to 45000' within 20Nm and this extends to 50Nm starting with a lower level of 4000 or 6000'. QRS has similar RAAF airspace from Amberley so that isn't an unworkable issue.

It is a little bit of a drive but MARS' Drouin launch site is just over 1.5hrs drive from Maffra. Are you moving south?
