Rocketfest XIII Sunday 15th May 2011

Postby rockets4u » Sat May 14, 2011 2:39 pm

Hello Melbourne Rocketeers & Rocket Watchers,

Rocketfest XIII is scheduled for Sunday 15th May as usual at Eric's pad near Beaconsfield Reservoir.

As of Thursday, the weather forecast for is:

Cloudy. Isolated showers clearing later. Winds westerly averaging up to 30 km/h.

We have had good weather with worse predictions, but watch this space in case of postponement.

Please come at:

12 Noon - If you are a Flier

1 pm If you just want to watch Rockets.

3 pm If you want to miss it all!

First rocket flies at 1pm sharp!

Check back here on Sunday am in case of postponement.

You are invited to fly (399.9 feet) or watch, be warned though our 20 acre site is not exactly flat and there are a "few" trees, which one of our number specialises in finding.

If you want to come pls send me a "pm" with your email address, or send an email to rockets4u@optusnet.com.au & I will send all the details.
Motors to the fore. Let the air through the rocket. Fins are a drag. The paint is the payload.

RocketFest XIII is On Tomorrow. :)

The fliers have rockets ready, and the weather prediction is a little improved, Isolated showers clearing later has changed to Isolated light showers clearing later.

Shelter will be available in the caravan,

It will be wet under foot, I suggest gumboots & a hot drink with lunch.

Hope to see you there!
