Hi everyone. As most fellow Victorians will know a slow moving low-pressure system just south of Tasmania and several associated cold fronts have resulted in some quite large rainfalls across the south of the state over the last few days. These conditions are forecast to continue into Saturday. Therefore the decision has been made to postpone the launch by 24hrs. It will now take place on Sunday the 17th of September. Sorry for any inconvenience that this will cause. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Melbourne Amateur Rocketry Society Inc. cordially extends an invitation to MARS & AMRS members and interested persons to attend the range located at Drouin South, on Sunday the 17th of September for our monthly club launch.

All flyers are required to pay a $10 (cash only) flyers fee at sign in.

An NOTAM will be posted with Air Services Australia and the CASA instrument permits launches of HPR up to a maximum ceiling of 8,000ft AMSL (7600ft AGL).

The range will open for operation at 8:00 am and will continue through to 12:00 pm. Any assistance with range setup is appreciated.

UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER

If adverse weather or other conditions on the day of the launch effect the launch program, the launch will be rescheduled. If on the day of the launch, you are uncertain the launch will proceed, check this post for updates.

Good call Marty! Just looked at the weather report, and Saturday morning looks like a shocker. However Sunday is shaping up to be perfect - ah Victorian weather; you've got to love it! :-)
