Hi Barry,

We're in the process of finalising accommodation and rates with the local hotels, we'll get back to you soon!

Many visitors will be camping in tents on site and others are planning on staying in RVs. Alternatively, you could grab a swag and camp out under the stars.

It's worthwhile comparing the cost of an RV to a hire car + accommodation. I'd recommend the following RV companies, all of which have locations in Brisbane:

http://www.apollocamper.com/
http://www.britz.com.au/
http://www.jucy.com.au/default.aspx
http://www.maui.com.au/
http://www.keacampers.com/

Cheers,
Simon

PS Bundy is evil!

Just wondering if there's any further progress on this front? We'll be travelling by road from Victoria with a couple of small kids, so probably going the motel option rather than RV or camping.

Also, beyond "somewhere near Meandarra", is there more specific information on the precise location of the launch site? It would be handy to plot travel times from nearby towns on Google Maps or Google Earth.

We have our finally logistical run at the end of June, after which all of this information will be confirmed and publicly released.

If you manage to get a room with a spare bed Drew, I might call an option on that....

OK,

Just booked into the Westmar Roadhouse http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/westmar-roadhouse-hotel/westmar, I have stayed there twice previously. Cost is A$100 / night single, A$120 / night double (2 x single beds). I have booked in from the 9th till the 15th of March (departing 16th of March).

You're definitely most deserving mate!

Hey CATO, is the Westmar Roadhouse the preferred accommodation or is the Royal Hotel in Meandarra? Given le googles is telling me they're 1 hour 20 minutes away from one another I suspect one will be closer than the other.

Hey Cato, given you've actually been to this launch site is it safe to assume the Westmar Roadhouse is preferred? Regardless given you'll be staying there I suspect I'll book there anyway. And Lamp, I'll option the double if available, if you don't want the bed my rockets will be mighty comfortable!

Hey Drew, I have wanted to stay at the Royal, as I think the accommodation may be of higher quality than the Roadhouse (others may want to jump in here), but the Roadhouse is heaps closer.

Hi Drew / anyone, if you are thinking of booking the Roadhouse now is the time, you can always cancel closer to the date, they do not require any credit card details upon booking (country folk are good like that), if you are going to cancel pls give them adequate notice.
