This is what Google is telling me from Narrabri to Moree:

SO Nic, are you saying (instead of listening to Google) head to Goondiwindi from Moree and then across the 85 and up (would be a right-hand turn North) Meandarra-Talwood Rd?

We'll be in an RV so don't want 4WD road...

I second Jase's question I had been planning to go that way and I've pulled up street view in a few spots and it looks sealed but can anyone provide any further information about it. Google is saying going through Goondiwindi will take an hour longer.

In case it possibly to catch up with anyone from the southern states on the road I'm planning on stopping in Narrandra on Monday night and Coonabarabran or Narrabri Tuesday night with a stop at the dish Tuesday lunch

Well, space is there, and we're going to climb it

Jase unless we hear different that is the route we are intending on as well. We will be in Moree on Sunday evening and be leaving Monday late morning early arvo. I looked at google maps all the way and it looks sealed to me.

Thanks Chris, cool mate 8)

We are not sure yet, our plan is to head-up either late Tuesday or very early Wednesday...

Hoping sealed all the way, that is what we told the hire company at least

Might have to duck into a car wash on the way back...

Take "the road less traveled". Far more interesting things happen, giving rise to many good stories :D

"My" Google Maps tells me it's 45km further, but just 12 mins longer, for Narrabri-Westmar via Goondiwindi (on the A39) compared to going through Ashley on the Carnarvon Hwy.
My interpretation of this is that the road via Goondiwindi is better.
Plus Goondiwindi would be a good place for last minute supplies

That can happen anywhere! I have seen a car in a sinkhole in Barkers Rd Hawthorn (suburban Melbourne).

Many kittens have been had by passengers in my car when traveling on "interesting" roads  . We always get there safely in the end. :D

CATO do you have UHF CB in your car? If so Just call out on Channel 10 as you come through Moree for Ruth and Chris. We might still be in town. I think we have to leave the caravan park by 10am. If you have a good run you might be there at about the same time as us. You planning on stopping at Moree or Goondiwindi for lunch?
