Thanks for posting the photos and video Chris, they are excellent! Any chance of getting a copy of them? I gave Ruth my contact details so we could keep in touch.

Thanks again to you and Ruth for searching for my rocket for so long. Looking at the aerial shots from Some launches I think I'm pretty convinced it must have come down in the dam.

At the launch it seemed like it took about 6 or more seconds for the sustainer to light but the video shows it to be around the 3 seconds that was programmed, I guess I was a little nervous

We made it back home to WA last night (Thursday 19th) after leaving on Monday ......quite a drive!

What can I say??? What a great event! So many awesome flights, so many memorable moments!
Great to meet all the new folks and great to catch up with old friends from across the breadth of this country and dear friends from around the globe!

I didn't manage to get as many photos as I would have liked, I guess I was just too busy with other things.
I did however manage to get someone to click off a pre-flight photo of the much anticipated rematch of the "White Trash" (WA) QLD Vs "Takin' Out the Trash" (QLD) N2000W drag race ....... Shame that it turned out to be a "One Horse" race ..... but hey we will take the win any way we get it! ....... That's Two Nil BTW Queenslanders!

White Trash.jpg

Just a little sidebar story on this great rocket.

This last flight was its third on an N2000W & it has also flown on an N1000W, just guessing but at this point I would think it has had more "N" flights under its belt than any other rocket in Australia! ........ She ain't retiring anytime soon!

Mate, when you're building igniters of the apocalypse for half the flight line and trying to prep awesomely big rockets for launch something has to give!

I hate I missed White Trash's flight but it was really great to see it back in the mix! That rocket's domination of N motor drag races is undisputed!

Well, the topic is Thunda Highlights......as all who were there would agree there were just so many highlights but in a little different note, one of the lasting mementos I will treasure are these ! :D

Image

Homer was so kind and gave me one of his books and left me a wonderful message there and then he signed my Rocket Shed sign....which will NOT hang outside but inside the shed ! 8)

THUNDA will live in all our memories for years to come and I know, it will sure will live in my memories indeed. :D

I have finally gotten through the photos from Thunda and narrowed it down to approx 350 photos! Just working with Blake to get them somewhere online for you all to access.

In the meantime, here is a fun one I couldn't help myself with!
