Queensland Rocketry Society December Launch

Postby kitestring » Mon Dec 14, 2015 3:52 pm

Firstly thanks very much to everyone at QRS that makes these launch days happen.
Had a great day out at the December launch.
Here's a little video of my Christmas themed efforts. The backslider failed as the nose got soaked in a prelaunch mishap and went out of balance. (that means i forgot to put on the top cap and all the water ended up in the cone  )
Santa landed safely twice but missed the somewhat tacky cardboard box chimney by miles...

cheers Jeremy

Parachuting santa was really cool :). The water rockets seemed so graceful gently lofting up and down. I was very impressed with their altitude too, its amazing what a bit of water and air can do.... Nice work :D

Thanks all for replies. Looking forward to meeting more members and building some crazy projects for the next year including dual and triple? stage plus dual boosters.. or lots of lawn darts. :) I love the title of that song! Thanks to Kevin MacLeod.

Very nicely done Jeremy! Looked like a great set of flights :) Glad to hear you joined QRS, there is a wealth of knowledge there about all things rocketry. I'm very much looking forward to your next projects in the new year.

Thanks George, got a room full of half completed projects and ideas. Nothing very original but doing them a bit differently. Main goal is a 3 stage 'TOMY TIMED' rocket..... hmmmm lots more thing that could go wrong.
