Postby natty » Mon Jul 31, 2017 10:30 pm

Howdy everyone!

The title says it all! what are you going to fly at MARS Attacks?

I'll be bring ing my PML 1/4 scale Patriot, the FORZA (38mm min diameter) a couple of scratch builds and a Sherri's Hot Rockets Atlas Mercury for its maiden flight. I think I've got a sparky motor ready to burn as well!

I have a Stonebreaker that I will fly on something between a D12 and an F85. Good enough? :D I haven't flown LPR/MPR for a while. No stress!

There is a shipment going to Victoria for MARS ATTACKS tomorrow (Thursday). If anyone has any last minute requests, please place an order before midday and it will be included in the shipment. Oh did I mention, FREE FREIGHT!! Yes, there is bunch of my own gear in there, so the freight is already covered!

I hope to fly my Space Ark on a long burn H which should be pretty good fun - fairly low and and slow which looks great with this kit (couldn't wait and flew it unpainted at Serp last launch).

I'm poking around looking for info on availability of rails and stuff for MARS Attacks... altitudes etc..?

There is plenty of gear available at MARS launches, including 1010 and 1515 rails at different lengths mostly using the light weight bases from Thunda2015. Lots of rods and most importantly the completely wireless 'Wilson F/X AU'.

Is there something specific that you need?

At this stage, there will be a max altitude of 12,000'. There is a higher opportunity, but this most likely won't be available for that weekend.

Bummer. Now I need an anchor to keep the Apache under that if I want to fly it :( .

Any chance the waiver might get raised? I'll stop prepping the rocket if it is a definite decision.

Nicely finished rocket mate! Looks like there's enough room in there for a 6G 75mm

Finally ready for flight at MARS Attacks with an exciting modular engine bay. Not fully decorated, but it's been a real bastard of a build! I believe that this could be the final production Sherri's Hot Rockets Mercury Atlas!
