Android apps for recovery of rocket

Postby Space Mark » Wed May 22, 2013 3:30 pm

Is anyone using an Android app they are particularly happy with for tracking down a landed rocket from gps coords?

I grabbed the Trimble outdoors app, but have not tried it yet.

Ideally, I'd be looking for something I can put in a wgs84 coordinate and have it display an arrow of which way to go to get to the rocket. Something which can convert decimal to degrees minutes seconds and vice versa would be nice too (my car only takes DMS.)

Not sure whether you subscribe to the Tripoli email forum, but an there was an Android telemetrum app announced today. I just flicked you the email.

Looked it up:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... AltosDroid

It's every bit as terrible as I had expected. Also needs BT unit for telemetrum. Really wish they'd put some effort into something other than their price tag.

Oops, just realised it's still in my outbox. Ah well, you have found it anyway.
