Welcome to the forums Baz and welcome to the awesome hobby of rocketry!

You will certainly find plenty of information and knowledgeable people regarding whatever aspect of rocketry that might excite you here.

Attending a local club's launch to have a look and chat to some other rocketeers can give you a good insight to the hobby too.

Enjoy 8)

Hi Barry, Baz, BAZZZZA,

Welcome to the forum, lots to see and do here. Joining a club, or even just attending a club launch is always a good way to see what others have done and may influence your build choices.

Enjoy...

Welcome to the forum Baz,

You will will find a wealth of information & a bunch of folks who are willing to help you along the way here.
I see you are hail from Mulwala on the border of NSW & VIC. Quite a hike to any clubs launch sites for you.

You have CRG (Canberra Rocketry Group), MARS (Melbourne Amateur Rocketry Society) & NSWRA (New South Wales Rocketry Association) that operate closest to you. I'm sure representatives from each of those established groups will see you post & touch base with you regarding club launches.

If you have no joy getting information please send me a PM and I'll endevour to assist with your journey.

Have fun!

Hi Bazz. Welcome to the forum and the hobby of rocketry! Lots of helpful people linger around here, so if you have any questions just search and/or ask :)

You are really in the middle of a lot of clubs, but none particularly close :(

In Tripoli Rocketry Association we fly out of Serpentine (35km from Bendigo) and 2.5h drive from you according to Google Maps. We fly everything from low power up to high power and have flights allowable up to 25000' there. You are, of course, welcome to attend anytime you would like to. Just contact myself or anyone of the members mentioned on the webpage: http://www.tripoli.org.au/

Have fun!

Serpentine would be your closest club site.
CRG hold monthly launch days at Yass, about 4 hours drive from Mulwala.
The NSWRA site at Whalan would be around 6.5 hours - probably a bit far ;)

CRG has an all-powers launch in less than two weeks at Ardlethan, only a couple or so hours from you- weather permitting.
