Dear QRS Members,
As per the September newsletter, the 2016 AGM for the Queensland Rocketry Society Inc. will be held on Sunday 30 October 2016 from 11 am at 508 Mona Drive, Jimboomba.
Prior to the AGM, QRS will also be running a workshop starting at 9 am. Since this is being held at Australian Rocketry’s workshop, if you have other queries or need to grab anything, this is a great opportunity to do so.
As per the constitution, all committee positions will be declared vacant and we encourage members to put forward their interest in joining the committee. Current committee members will also be required to put forward their interest if they would like to remain on the committee. The available positions are:
i) President
ii) Secretary
iii) Treasurer / Membership Officer
iv) Committee member
v) Committee member
vi) Committee member (as required)
Some people have already indicated their interest in joining the committee, however if you have not, please reply via email by no later than Thursday 27 October.
QRS will be supplying a BBQ lunch with drinks (beer, wine and soft drink) during the AGM. It is envisaged that the AGM will be finished within 1½ hours.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the day.
Thanks
Matt

Re: QRS 2016 AGM
Thanks Mat I'll be there. Any idea what the workshop will be?
Re: QRS 2016 AGM
At this point we are planning on running through programming RRC3 and Raven altimeters.
We have also had a couple of enquiries about running in-person LCO and RSO courses, so this is a possibility.
Does anyone have a special request for a workshop topic?

That would be awesome, I'm unable to get on the AMRS site to have a look at this.
As I'm venturing into L2 land I am also interested in any advice on E-bays, dual deploys etc.

Done: Expect a detailed discussion on building av bays. We can progress from av bay construction to programming altimeters if time permits...
See you then!
